Nationality and Statelessness Problems on the Rise

There is a connection between our national identity and the way we portray ourselves. A more preferable term used for national identity is nationality. But before dining nationality, it is necessary to give the definition of a nation to which we all belong to and through which one got the nationality because each and every nation has some particular rules and laws to adopt the nationality. A nation is a place in which one lives and always has to go back to, and also the terms are being used for a nation such as fatherland, motherland or homeland. However, nationality is defined differently in different societies that mean it is a socially constructed theme and follows up on each and every society in one way or another. But somehow it is also defined as the membership of a person to a state or nation that affords special protection for a person belonging to that state or even a person that is not the part of that state could hold the nationality. The major reason for such people to afford that nationality is based on the fact that these people share a national identity that may base on cultural or ethical ties. Nationality is one of the major problems that must be faced by any of us while being living in any state or nation. It is a legal tie that binds a person to a state as we always heard that the one who belongs to America would be termed as American same for the one belong to Canada would be known by the term Canadian and so on. However, it (nationality) is also defined as the process through which one got bind to another state through cultural, ethical or any other condition. Excluding the cases of being the part of one’s own state if we pick up the example of poor countries we definitely notice that it is not easy to get the nationality of another state while you were identified as a poor country’s person especially. If we took an example of poor countries we came across the information that when we apply visas for that state we cannot just get that state nationality by getting visa although we have to live there for at least/maximum for five years to afford nationality. But if we talk about those babies that took birth over there directly got the nationality; that nationality could be preferred as the blood transfer nationality whether the mother of that child could not hold the nationality of Finland for example. Not only for Finland but for many other countries (i.e. citizens of other countries) it is a difficult task to adopt the nationality of any other country yet. Citizenship somehow used as a different term than that of nationality, as we see a clear difference between these two. Citizenship, on one hand, introduces as the right of citizens of any state to participate in the political as well as social affairs of their state, such as by attending elections or being a stand-in them or by voting while nationality includes both citizens and non-citizens of any state. In some non-English spoken areas the term ethnicity was used as the synonym of nationality which is defined as the nation in which the grouping is based on cultural or family determination and excludes the factor that one has a relation with a state or present government but it is little bit difference between ethnicity and national identity because nationality is more often a legal concept while ethnicity is cultural concept. But the countries having bio- national homogeneity means are considered as the singular nations means they have no concept of ethnicity in their culture because they did not differentiate their people and just take them all in a single mean and also they just use ethnicity at literature level. Nationality is a big and string issue all over the world so it is possible to create such policies (policies means especially public policies) which help everyone in getting nationality while living in other states.
