The four books referred to as “Books of Allah” in Islam are:
- The Quran: the holy book of Islam and the primary source of guidance for Muslims.
- Sahih Bukhari: a collection of sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) compiled by the Muslim scholar Imam Bukhari.
- Sahih Muslim: a collection of sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) compiled by the Muslim scholar Muslim ibn al-Hajjaj.
- Sunan Abu Dawud: a collection of sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) compiled by the Muslim scholar Abu Dawud.
